Hailing from Seoul, South Korea, and now based in Berlin, Cosmo is a DJ and producer whose sound reflects the dynamics of the two vibrant cities’ club scenes. She began her journey as a resident at Seoul’s BBCB: Beton Brut + Concrete Bar and has gradually started to share her sound with audiences beyond her hometown. Among those taking notice is German label Giegling, whose minimalist approach to club music resonates with Cosmo’s own subtle and considered style. Known for her fluid and versatile DJ sets, Cosmo traverses genres with ease. While grounded in deep house, her sets often incorporate Balearic and disco elements, adding color and nuance to a steady, groove-driven foundation. Rather than sticking to a fixed formula, she approaches each set as a chance to tell a story, guided by intuition and the energy of the room. Her debut solo EP, [JIN09], released on Taipei’s 禁JIN Records, offers a glimpse into her evolving musical world. Blending house and Balearic elements with darker, more dramatic tones, the record reflects her interest in contrasts—music that can be both emotional and danceable, introspective yet expansive.
